This Friday, February 4th is National Wear Red Day – a national campaign that takes place every year on the first Friday of February. In an effort to educate workplaces and customers about women’s risk of heart disease and promote prevention of heart disease, businesses across the county participate and host their own Wear Red days. At Bill Howe Plumbing, Heating & Air we’ll be wearing red at our office and all of our technicians will be wearing a red ribbon in honor of the cause. We’d like to encourage you to wear red to work on Friday and ask your co-workers to do the same.
Why Go Red?
Because coronary heart disease and stroke are the No. 1 and No. 3 killers of women over age 25
Because while 1-in-30 American women die of breast cancer, more than 1-in-3 die from cardiovascular disease
Because there are 220,000 victims of sudden cardiac arrest occur at work
